…and the survey says
Many in our communities were contacted in the last month by EMC Research. Through an extensive, non-biased survey we can see the public’s perseption of the Health Department of Northwest Michigan and what they do in our community.
Survey was funded by the Friends of the Health Department of Northwest Michigan, not by the Health Department of Norwest Michigan. In no way were survey questions skewed to favor the HDNW nor was its funding source disclosed.

The mission of Friends of HDNW is to improve public understanding of and support for the public health programs of the Health Department of Northwest Michigan (HDNW).
We employ strategies to assess the public understanding of HDNW’s activities and expand public awareness and acceptance of HDNW programs within its service area.

Friends of HDNW is a group of community leaders in Emmet, Charlevoix, Otsego and Antrim counties committed to supporting the important work of the Health Department of Northwest Michigan. The organization is led by dedicated volunteers with years of experience in public service, strategic planning, elective office, market research, accounting and the law.
Friends of HDNW has been given 501 (c ) (3) status by the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable organization.
